Members range in age from early twenties to late eighties. Using a playful approach to theatre and emphasizing social interaction, we produce original plays based on our stories and issues of aging.

Our outreach programs involve seniors from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in a wide range of theatrical activities. No previous theatre experience required is required. All mobilities welcome. Programs include: workshops in performance storytelling, dance and acting; JP Drama: Just Play! (in collaboration with Jasper Place High School); FEST (Festival of Edmonton Seniors Theatre); RapidGeris (comedy improv with Rapid Fire Theatre); Under One Sky (a multicultural storytelling project); and our Facilitator Training Program.
  • Mandate/Mission:
Our mission is to engage seniors and intergenerational groups in which seniors are included, in theatre and performance-related activities, and to produce plays that are meaningful for our performers and audiences.

Adhering to the principles of Creative Aging, we believe that seniors’ engagement in the arts at a level of comparative mastery leads to significant health benefits, an overall sense of well-being and a marked increase in social and civic engagement.
