London Creative Age Network
The London Creative Age Network is a volunteer-led, community-based arts initiative started in 2013 in London Ontario. The volunteers have been working with local libraries, arts institutions, health organizations and seniors groups to raise awareness about the benefits of creative arts and healthy aging.

We work with communities in Southwestern Ontario to oganize lively Creative Age Festivals and Marketplace events
-Organizing and promoting ongoing creative aging arts programs in local communities
-Engaging older adults to help plan programs, events and activities
-Applying for grants and sponsorship funds to launch and sustain programs
-Promoting and practicing cross-sector collaborations
-Organizing and implementing social media and community awareness campaigns to educate about a rapidly aging population and a new generation of older adults approaching retirement
-Making presentations to municipal, arts, health and seniors' institutions and organizations
-Raising awareness about the need to stop ageism in our communities -
Mandate/Mission:
The mission of the London Creative Age Network (LCAN) is to improve the quality of life of area older adults by organizing creative aging programs in their communities with a special focus to isolated seniors in the arts and cultural life of the city.
