London Creative Age Network

The London Creative Age Network is a volunteer led, community based arts initiative started in 2013 in London Ontario. The volunteers have been working with local libraries, arts institutions, health organizations and seniors groups to raise awareness about the the creative arts and healthy aging.

    -Promoting and practicing cross sector collaboration
    -Organizing and implementing social media and community awareness campaigns to educate about a rapidly aging population and a new generation of older adults approaching retirement
    -Making presentations to municipal, arts, health and seniors' organizations
    -Raising awareness about the need to stop ageism in our communities

    The mission of the London Creative Age Network (LCAN) is to improve the quality of life of London's older adults by organizing creative aging programs in their neighbourhoods and engaging isolated seniors in the arts and cultural life of the city.
