"Move N' Mingle is an adapted dance program, for people with intellectual disabilities that operates at the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre in Toronto Canada. We serve a diverse group of individuals and have been dancing together for over 10 years, with the help of some very dedicated volunteers. Our dance repertoire consists of modified folk dances as well as dances that have been specifically choreographed for our group, according to the musical preferences of the participants. We thank a generous donor for sponsoring this video series.

This Bollywood-style Dance that has been choreographed for Move N' Mingle. It involves 2 choruses that are set, alternating with improvised movements. The improvs can be done in a Bollywood style, but could also include any movements that suit a given group of dancers. I demonstrate some potential improvisational movements in the video, but you can find all sorts of ideas online.

Dance Sequence:
Chorus 1:
4 side wards step-togethers to R with scooping arm/hand movements in the direction of travel
4 side wards step-togethers to L with scooping arm/hand movements in the direction of travel
Repeat these again
Chorus 2:
Roll arms low and then high
Move shoulders & arms--approximating a slow shimmy
Repeat x 4

Improvisations are done in between each chorus.
