Indigenous Cultural Programming in Saskatchewan

Indigenous Cultural Programming in SaskatchewanCulture Days & SaskCulture | SK | 2018

"Saskatchewan-based Arts Administrator Dominga Robinson will provide background, context and insight for building lasting partnerships with Indigenous community members and producing meaningful cultural programming. Dominga will discuss some of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's Calls to Action, issues around cultural appropriation and terminology, treaty territory statements and more — all grounded in her experiences as an Outreach Consultant with SaskCulture and as a member of the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation.

Since 2010, Culture Days in Saskatchewan has been coordinated by SaskCulture in variety of ways, such as through the Culture Days Funding Assistance Grant Program, with support from Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation. SaskCulture also assists Culture Days event organizers with the creation and distribution of promotional materials and advertising."
