“Common Weal Community Arts is working with A Big Project on a global event to bring in a new era after the end of the Mayan Calendar. Art events for social change will be happening in 97 different countries around the globe on December 20th, 2012. One of these events is to bring together drummers from around the world, to drum as individuals, with family and friends, or in their community. The drumming will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on December 20th in all time zones across the world, creating a wave of sound. Organize an event in your community, take a 15 second clip of the event and send to infocommonweal@sasktel.net. Plan to take part in this exciting event to build community and hope for a better future.”
