CAHEP is accepting artist proposals for Art to the Streets: Travelling Open Studios. This program brings arts education to neighbourhoods, community organizations, and social service agencies across Thunder Bay. It will engage children, youth, families, and seniors in free-of-cost programming.
We are looking for artists interested in inspiring children, youth, families, and seniors, using arts disciplines including cultural programming, dance, drama, literary arts, music, new media, urban arts, and visual art**. Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions!
To submit a proposal, email the following information to info@cahep.ca or call 475-6526 to arrange a time to drop off your information:
- Your name
- Your arts discipline
- Contact information (email/phone)
- 2-3 sentences outlining each project you would like to offer. Be specific about what participants will do and any outcome (ie. participants will learn the basics of electronic music-making with the outcome of recording a song to put online)
- Amount of time needed to deliver the project
- Targeted age (children/youth/seniors/all-ages)
- Photos/examples of community arts/arts education work
Projects start at 2 hours in length. Proposals will be reviewed by potential program participants (youth, children, families, and seniors) in collaboration with CAHEP. The program will begin in Spring 2015!
** Artists must have an up-to-date police record check with vulnerable sector screening to participate in our programs. Please send us an email for more details on how to begin this process!
