Laboratory aims to explore how youth can make a positive impact in their community with the arts
“unchARTed: Youth ARTivist Laboratory is a multi-disciplinary art event where youth will explore, create and discover new and inventive ways to use art as a tool for social change in their schools, communities and city. The event is free and catered to youth between the ages of 13-20. The afternoon will include a community art project and workshops in theatre, dance, visual arts and spoken word. Pizza, snacks and beverages will be served. The event will be hosted in two different focus communities. Youth are asked to register for one of these two locations:

“Working with Antyx showed me how to boost up my personality and confidence, showing me that I could be a leader” said one youth. “Antyx is committed to engaging, transforming and empowering youth so that they can create the changes they want to see in their own communities” says Antyx Community Arts Facilitator, Kevin Jesuino. “We work with youth from all over the city and use the arts to talk about issues that these youth are facing.”
