“The Good Guise is a collective of male-identified artists that exist to explore and promote healthy expressions of racialized masculinity.
In this talk, they will describe their process of creating space to explore healthy masculinity, interspersed by small performances from featured artists in the collective.
A Talks is a series of roaming salons that gather artists, arts educators, writers, and creatives of all type who are innovating how we make, see, and engage in the arts. Curated by Platform A, these talks capture and elaborate on those invigorating chats started in basement studios, the bar at poetry readings, the fire pit, and from across the cypher that have inspired us to want to hear more. Centering artistic practices that are socially engaged or explore unconventional ways of making art, we want to keep the conversation going.”
