About SIX AH WI:
“SIX AH WI Artists’ Collective incorporated in 2008, as a not-for-profit organization consisting of a board of directors and executive body of artists to plan programs and deliver services to the visual arts community and host exhibitions for its members and artists in the broader African-Canadian community . The organization was founded in 1993 and operates under six principles, which are: Success through excellence, unity through the devotion of a purpose, collective development and creative thinking, intellectual development through the arts, discipline through creative consistency.”Board of Directors:
“The Board of Directors (B of D) for SIX AH WI Artists’ Collective is responsible for the legal functioning and other matters pertaining to upholding all financial trans-actions and financial accountability of the organization. The Board of Directors does not have the power to institute programs or general activities as it relate to the membership of the organization. However, the B of D can recommend the improvement old or development of new programs, projects or activities to the Executive Body of Artists. Both the President of the board and the Chair of the Executive Body of Artists will maintain close communication.”
