New ArtReach Youth Arts Awards
ArtReach Toronto invites “you to submit nominations for this new award that recognizes the outstanding contributions of young artists and youth arts groups addressing social justice issues in Toronto. Two awards will be provided, honouring one young artist and one youth arts group / organization creating opportunities for youth to access and be engaged in the arts. Two cash prizes of $1000 will be provided to the award winners, as sponsored by Susan Harris and David Kassie.
Nominations must be received by Thursday July 12, 2012 at 5:00pm. (Deadline extended: Wednesday September 19, 2012 at 5:00pm. ) Please note that nominees will only be contacted if selected for the award short-list. The package is available on the ArtReach website. Workshop / Information Session
A workshop will be held on June 20, 2012, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at 377 Dundas St West (at Beverley St, beside the AGO). This session will provide best practices in how to make a nomination, develop an effective bio and communicate the impact of what you do. You will receive tips from people who have processed award packages, participated on award committees, as well as an award winner.
