Volunteer/Internship Position: Sponsorship Development
About: ArtBridges is a unique, emerging and free Canada-wide hub for community-engaged arts initiatives. ArtBridges informs and connects people about community-engaged arts in Canada and the benefits of arts for social change. ArtBridges’ ultimate objective is to help improve access to arts and art-making for Canadians living in remote, under-resourced and under-serviced communities. ArtBridges is a Project of Tides Canada Initiatives Society.
Vision: To nurture community-engaged arts across Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a previously developed contact list of sponsor prospects from across Canada and a previously written sponsorship material package.
- Solicit new monthly sponsors for ArtBridges’ website features (artbridges.ca) and Daily Community Blog posts.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with sponsors for long-term sponsorship.
- Maintain accurate sponsor files and contact lists.
- Work with ArtBridges team at office.
Competencies and Requirements:
- Completed, or in the process of completing a university or college degree, or equivalent, in fundraising/sponsorship/marketing.
- A passion for arts and an ability to communicate the value of access to arts in Canadian communities.
- Motivated and friendly with excellent verbal communication on telephone and by email.
- Demonstrated ability as a relationship builder and to work both independently and as a team player.
- Organized, detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through.
- Ideal for someone looking for fundraising/marketing/sponsorship experience.
Time required:
- P/T: Once or twice a week for a few hours
- ArtBridges’ Sponsorship Program is a newly developed initiative. We’d appreciate assistance for minimally 3 months
- We can accommodate a student’s or volunteer’s schedule.
