SADLY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
SYiM (Southern Youth In Motion) recently traveled to Neskantaga First Nation, a small community of about 300 people located 480km northeast of Thunder Bay, ON. The community was in a state of crisis after the tragic suicides of two young men in less than a week. SYiM joined the community’s youth in organizing the ‘Youth Voices of Neskantaga” arts and music festival as a means of helping the community deal with the devastating loss in a positive way. Now some of the artwork has traveled south to Toronto for a very special event this Thursday, June 20th at Beit Zatoun (612 Markham St.). Read more about Neskantaga here. (Cora-Rae Silk, ArtBridges)
