INUIT TEEN MOVIE
OPEN CALL AUDITIONS

The producers of the award winning film THROAT SONG are holding OPENCALL auditions for THE GRIZZLIES, a new feature film based on the inspiring true story of a group of Inuit students in a struggling Arctic community, whose lives are changed by the transformative power of team sports.
We are scouting Canada’s North (NWT, Nunavut, Nunavik) for Inuit boys and girls to play lead roles in the movie, which will begin shooting in Iqaluit, Nunavut in April 2016. No previous acting experience is required!
All information can be found on our website, http://www.inuitteenmovie.com/, including a list of towns where we will be holding in-person auditions, as well as instructions on how to self-tape an audition.
From the auditions, 30 youth will be selected and flown to Iqaluit to take part in the Arctic Youth Performing Arts Workshop featuring sessions with renowned Inuit performers including COMEDY IMPROVISATION with Anguti Johnson, THROAT SINGING with Sylvia Cloutier, MASK WORK with Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory, ACTING with Ippiksaut Friesen and DRUM DANCING with Allen Auksaq.
The workshop will take place in Iqaluit, Nunavut from February 14th – 21st 2016.
The workshop participants will have the opportunity to audition for the director of the feature film THE GRIZZLIES.
