\u00ab\u00a0The second annual Asinabka Festival will be taking place in Ottawa, Ontario, July 24-28, 2013. The Festival is currently seeking works from independent filmmakers, any film or video that tells First Nations, M\u00e9tis, or Inuit stories, or focuses on international Indigenous issues, is eligible. Submissions can be in any genre (documentary, drama, animation, experimental etc.) or any length, and must be finished works.<\/span><\/p>\n Preference will be given to new works produced within the last two years.<\/span><\/p>\n HOW TO SUBMIT:<\/span> APPLICATION – All submissions must include the following:<\/span> Email submissions are welcome. \n Format: Film and video submissions must be on a playable DVD, a QuickTime or MP4 file, or an Internet link to the works online location.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n 1. A short bio of the artist, director, and\/or producer<\/span>
\n 2. A brief description of the work being submitted (no longer than 1 page).<\/span>
\n 3. Contact information, year of production, format, running time, language(s), province or country of origin, premiere status (i.e. has it premiered in Canada, a Canadian city, or internationally), and 3 stills or freeze frames from the submission ( at least 300 DPI in .jpg, .png or .tiff format).<\/span><\/p>\n
\n Note submissions are accepted all year long, but must be received or post-marked by this deadline to be considered for the 2013 Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n
