Please visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/regentparkfilmfestival.com\/program\/behind-the-scene-workshop-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/regentparkfilmfestival.com\/program\/behind-the-scene-workshop-series\/<\/a>\u00a0for full details and to register!:\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ea0000;\"><strong>\u00ab\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><a title=\"Regent Park Film Festival | Behind the Scene Workshop Series\" href=\"http:\/\/regentparkfilmfestival.com\/program\/behind-the-scene-workshop-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span><span style=\"color: #ea0000;\"><strong>Behind the Scene: Workshop Series<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Regent Park Film Festival | Behind the Scene Workshop Series\" href=\"http:\/\/regentparkfilmfestival.com\/program\/behind-the-scene-workshop-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Video Production:\u00a0Shaping your own enterprise\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nFriday November 15th, 9:30am \u2013 11:30 am<\/p>\n<p>In this workshop, <strong>UforChange\u2019s<\/strong> Social Enterprise Lead, Tony Del Rio\u00a0and Executive Director, Chalo Barrueta will be speaking about the entrepreneurial and project management aspects of video production.\u00a0The workshop focuses on best approaches to engaging clients; how to\u00a0set up goals and objectives with a clearly defined framework, and how to\u00a0monitor and control tasks of the various stages of filming until the video\u00a0is released.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Regent Park Film Festival | Behind the Scene Workshop Series\" href=\"http:\/\/regentparkfilmfestival.com\/program\/behind-the-scene-workshop-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Connecting Community:\u00a0Community-based media practices\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nFriday November 15th, 12:00 pm &#8211; 1:30 pm<br \/>\nMulti-disciplinary artists <strong>Vanessa Dion Fletcher<\/strong> and <strong>Nathan Adler<\/strong> will discuss and provide examples of alternative and collaborative models of filmmaking and storytelling that actively engage, privilege and place communities at the centre of the media production\u00a0process. This is a good discussion for emerging filmmakers who seek to make projects that tell stories from their community.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Regent Park Film Festival | Behind the Scene Workshop Series\" href=\"http:\/\/regentparkfilmfestival.com\/program\/behind-the-scene-workshop-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>A Spoken Word Workshop<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nFriday November 15th, 4:30 pm<br \/>\nThis introductory spoken word workshop for youth will emphasize group participation, storytelling, and positive resistance &amp; activism. Led by <strong>Nathaniel Marshall<\/strong>, the star of the award-winning documentary <strong><em>Louder Than A Bomb<\/em><\/strong>, with assistance form Regent Park\u2019s own young poet <strong>Mustafa Ahmed<\/strong>, this workshop is for teens interested in performing and learning more about spoken word and sound poetry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to register for workshops:<\/strong> Visit <a title=\"Regent Park Film Festival\" href=\"http:\/\/www.regentparkfilmfestival.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.regentparkfilmfestival.com<\/a> and click on workshop registration\u00a0to register for these workshops. This year, we present three films produced in the community by<strong> Young Street Mission\u2019s YUVA group (Youth United in Visionary Action)<\/strong> and the <strong>Regent Park Film Festival<\/strong>, Toronto Boys and Girls Club\u2019s arts program <strong>The Movement<\/strong>, and the <strong>Luminato Festival\u2019s Education and Outreach Program<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ea0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Film: Wapos Bay: Long Goodbyes<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<em>presented by The Regent Park Film Festival and co-presented by ArtHeart Community Art Centre<\/em><br \/>\nSaturday November 16th at 9:30 AM<br \/>\n\u00ab\u00a0On Saturday, come join the Regent Park Film Festival for a delicious breakfast and presentation of the animated movie <em>Wapos Bay: Long Goodbyes,<\/em> that follows the ongoing family friendly adventures of siblings Talon and Raven. All festival programming, including the breakfast, is free of cost. The Regent Park Film Festival gives special thanks to the Christian Resource Centre for providing the delicious breakfast!
