Le PRIX POWERHOUSE<\/a><\/strong> est un prix de reconnaissance de $5,000 qui a pour but de souligner la pratique d\u2019une femme* artiste montr\u00e9alaise ayant atteint ou d\u00e9pass\u00e9 le stade de mi-carri\u00e8re. Il est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 une artiste qui a contribu\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re significative au milieu culturel montr\u00e9alais. ce prix honore une personne qui a fait preuve de pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance et qui poursuit son oeuvre en demeurant fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa vision.<\/p>\n

LE PRIX COMPREND<\/strong>
\n5 000$\u2028 et une invitation pour la laur\u00e9ate \u00e0 donner une conf\u00e9rence \u00e0 La Centrale portant sur sa pratique artistique.<\/p>\n

CRIT\u00c8RES D\u2019ADMISSIBILIT\u00c9<\/strong>
\n– \u00catre une artiste \u00e2g\u00e9e de 37 ans et plus qui s\u2019identifie comme femme*
\n– Vivre dans la grande r\u00e9gion de Montr\u00e9al en date de la nomination
\n– Que la candidature soit soumise par une tierce personne
\n– Soutenir une pratique artistique pertinente et de qualit\u00e9, qui demeure sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par les grandes institutions culturelles montr\u00e9alaises
\n– Poursuivre une carri\u00e8re artistique professionnelle de fa\u00e7on soutenue en arts visuels depuis au moins 10 ans (incluant les nouveaux m\u00e9dias, l\u2019art sonore et la performance)
\n– Les membres du conseil d\u2019administration et les travailleuses de La Centrale ne sont pas \u00e9ligibles<\/p>\n

PROPOSER UNE CANDIDATURE<\/strong>
\nPour proposer la candidature d’une artiste, veuillez nous \u00e9crire en expliquant pourquoi la candidate m\u00e9rite ce prix, selon les crit\u00e8res \u00e9num\u00e9r\u00e9s ci-haut. N’oubliez pas de mentionner pourquoi cette artiste vous semble sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e! Les candidatures devront \u00eatre soumises avant le vendredi 23 mai 2014 par courriel \u00e0 l’adresseprogrammation@lacentrale.org.<\/p>\n

\"La<\/a>The PRIX POWERHOUSE<\/strong><\/a> is a $5,000 recognition award that celebrates women* artists who have reached the mid-stage in their career and contribute in a significant way to the cultural life of Montr\u00e9al. The purpose of the prize is to recognize and honour an artist of unique vision who pursues their practice with determination and without compromise.<\/p>\n

*Women and self-identified women.<\/p>\n

THE AWARD INCLUDES<\/strong>
\n$5,000\u2028 and an invitation to the winner to give a talk about their art practice at La Centrale<\/p>\n

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong>
\n– Be at least 37 years of age and identify as a woman*
\n– Live within the Greater Montr\u00e9al area at the date of nomination
\n– Be nominated by a third party (only one nomination per artist will be considered)
\n– Sustain a pertinent artistic practice of quality that thrives under the radar of major cultural institutions in the city
\n– Have a practice in the visual arts that spans more than ten years (visual arts includes new media, sound and performance)
\n– Board and staff members of La Centrale are not eligible<\/p>\n

NOMINATE AN ARTIST FOR THE PRIZE<\/strong>
\nTo nominate an artist, please write us an email stating why the artist is deserving of the prize, according to the above stated criteria. Do not forget to mention why you feel this artist is underrecognized.<\/p>\n

Please include the full contact information (email, phone, postal address) for yourself and your nominee. Nominations should be submitted no later than Friday May 23rd, 2014, by email to\u2028programmation@lacentrale.org.<\/p>\n
