(SPAN) conducts \u201cresearch as practice\u201d. We also do outreach to artists, art communities and colleagues around the globe. Interviews and podcasts have been conducted with artists from around the globe. We facilitate an online community dialogue consisting of over 2000 global users.<\/p>\n<p>From 2011 to 2014, we started to conduct outreach to networks of artists across the globe. And we call this our field research\u2014learn more here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialpracticesartnetwork.com\/our-fieldwork\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.socialpracticesartnetwork.com\/our-fieldwork\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2014, (SPAN) launched an international research project focused on the needs of socially-engaged and community-engaged artists.<\/p>\n<p>The (SPAN) collective developed an international survey and study that has reached and engaged over 500 artists from around the globe that participate in socially-engaged art practices.<\/p>\n<p>For the survey, (SPAN) partnered with Open Engagement, Arts Quest (a programme of University of the Arts London, an educational charity), and DotToDot (UK) Arts.
