{"id":16213,"date":"2014-08-06T06:57:25","date_gmt":"2014-08-06T10:57:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artbridgesblog.ca\/en\/?p=16213"},"modified":"2014-08-06T06:57:25","modified_gmt":"2014-08-06T10:57:25","slug":"opportunity-aboriginal-artists-materials-and-supplies-assistance-grant-ontario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artbridges.ca\/fr\/opportunity-aboriginal-artists-materials-and-supplies-assistance-grant-ontario\/","title":{"rendered":"Opportunity: Aboriginal Artists Materials and Supplies Assistance Grant (Ontario Arts Council)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/artbridgesblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/paint.jpg\" rel=\"PrettyPhoto[16213]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16188\" alt=\"paint\" src=\"http:\/\/artbridgesblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/paint.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"368\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> The program provides grants of $500 to Aboriginal artists working in the visual arts, crafts or traditional Aboriginal art forms for the cost of buying materials and supplies to make their work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Artists must apply directly to one of the participating Aboriginal recommender organizations:<br \/>\n&#8211; Anemki Art Collective, Thunder Bay<br \/>\n&#8211; Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe Native Arts Canada, Niagara Falls<br \/>\n&#8211; Ojibwe Cultural Foundation, M&rsquo;Chigeeng<br \/>\n&#8211; Woodland Cultural Centre, Brantford<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; This program is open to Aboriginal artists working in the visual arts, crafts or traditional Aboriginal art forms.<br \/>\n&#8211; The OAC\u2019s definition of the term \u201cAboriginal\u201d means Status and Non-Status, M\u00e9tis and Inuit people.<br \/>\n&#8211; Applicants must reside in Ontario and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Deadline Dates:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Anemki Art Collective has a single deadline of October 15, 2014.<br \/>\n&#8211; All other recommender organizations accept applications at any time, starting in July 2014, until their budgets are spent.
