Festival organizers are excited to announce the full line-up of musicians and multi-disciplinary artists who will transform <strong>Fort York Historic Site&rsquo;s Garrison Common<\/strong> grounds into one of the summer\u2019s hottest <strong>free admission<\/strong> festival destinations. The staging of the Pavilion marks the <strong>first time in the history of the games<\/strong> that there has been such a large and strong Aboriginal <strong>music, comedy, dance<\/strong> and <strong>multi-disciplinary arts<\/strong> presence during the world renowned sporting event. This <strong>historically significant<\/strong> gathering of the community\u2019s finest artistic talents also coincides with the <strong>first time in the history of the Pan Am games<\/strong> that there is a <strong>Host First Nation (Mississauga\u2019s of the New Credit First Nations)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Aboriginal Pavilion brings together Indigenous musicians and artists from across the Americas in a historic collaboration that celebrates the vitality of Indigenous communities by showcasing works by innovative <strong>Canadian<\/strong> and <strong>American<\/strong> artists over a <strong>17 day<\/strong> period (<strong>July 10th- 26th<\/strong>).The Pavilion aims to share the <strong>art, music, culture and traditions<\/strong> of Aboriginal peoples with up to 10,000 festival attendees, while <strong>showcasing the diversity within the community<\/strong>, which will help to promote greater appreciation and understanding among all peoples. The Pavilion will also occupy one of the largest footprints of any arts festival in Toronto held during the Pan Am Games.
