The Alianait Arts Festival is Nunavut\u2019s premier arts festival that includes music, visual arts, film, theatre, circus, storytelling and more! Alianait presents performers from across the north and throughout the world at our annual festival and year-round concert series. Now in its twelfth year, Alianait seeks a full-time Festival Coordinator to help lead one of Canada\u2019s fastest growing and most exciting art events.<\/p>\n

Scope<\/strong>
\nReporting to the Executive Director, the Festival Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all logistical planning, including:
\n– Arranging performances, artists, venues, security and sale of tickets
\n– Administering application process and local selection committee
\n– Drafting funding proposals and reports, correspondence, marketing and promotional material
\n– Fixing dates, finding venues, and organizing travel and accommodation for performers
\n– Working with the Alianait Board of Directors, participating in regular meetings
\n– Performing a range of administrative, marketing and office management duties<\/p>\n

Basic Requirements<\/strong>
\nMinimum of Grade 12 or equivalent and 1 year experience in event coordination or related field We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:
\n– Excellent organizational, administrative, computer and project management skills
\n– Strong written and oral communication skills
\n– Excellent teamwork skills including the ability to work collaboratively with creative professionals
\n– Flexibility\/adaptability, ability to multi-task<\/p>\n

Priority will be given to Nunavut Land Claims Beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
