Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 conservateur au mus\u00e9e national du ch\u00e2teau de Malmaison de 1993 \u00e0 1995, Bertrand Rondot a rejoint le mus\u00e9e des Arts d\u00e9coratifs de Paris comme conservateur responsable du D\u00e9partement des collections XVIIe-XVIIIe si\u00e8cles, dans le cadre du programme de r\u00e9novation de ce mus\u00e9e rouvert en 2006, et conservateur des collections du mus\u00e9e Nissim de Camondo. Il est depuis 2007, conservateur en chef au ch\u00e2teau de Versailles, en charge des collections de mobilier et d\u2019objets d\u2019art. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 commissaire d\u2019expositions, notamment Discovering the Secrets of Soft-Paste Porcelain at the Saint-Cloud Manufactory, ca 1690-1766, \u00e0 New York en 1998, Marie-Antoinette and the Petit Trianon, \u00e0 San Francisco en 2007, et Le ch\u00e2teau de Versailles raconte le Mobilier national \u2013 Quatre si\u00e8cles de cr\u00e9ation, en 2011 \u00e0 Versailles<\/p>\n

THE 17TH CENTURY: FROM THE PAST TO OUR TIMES – LECTURE – ARCHITECTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0L’Alliance fran\u00e7aise de Toronto welcomes you to Bertrand Rondot’s lecture, chief curator for furnitures and work of arts at Ch\u00e2teau de Versailles, on Tuesday, June 7, at 7pm.<\/p>\n

Curator at the mus\u00e9e national des ch\u00e2teaux de Malmaison et Bois-Pr\u00e9au between 1993 and 1995, Bertrand Rondot was then appointed at the mus\u00e9e des Arts d\u00e9coratifs in Paris, as head of the 17th-18th Centuries Collections Department where he worked on the new display of the museum\u2019s galleries. He was as well in charge of the collections of the mus\u00e9e Nissim de Camondo. He has been working at the ch\u00e2teau de Versailles since 2007 as chief curator for furniture and works of art. He curated among others the exhibitions \u201cDiscovering the Secrets of Soft-Paste Porcelain at the Saint-Cloud Manufactory, ca 1690-
\n1766\u201d, in 1999 in New York, \u201cMarie-Antoinette and the Petit Trianon\u201d, in 2007 in San Francisco, and \u00ab Le ch\u00e2teau de Versailles raconte le Mobilier national \u2013 Quatre si\u00e8cles de cr\u00e9ation \u00bb in 2011.<\/p>\n

This lecture will be featured as part of the Jim Doak lectures series. It will be presented in French.<\/p>\n
