We are pleased to announce the award winners for\u00a0ArtBridges Second Annual Recognition Awards!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The awards showcase remarkable work in community-engaged arts in Canada in three categories:\u00a0Innovation!, Resiliency! and Creativity!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The award process:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0In late 2015 we did a call for ArtBridges annual fee-paying Members to participate in award nominations. All of the entrees were compelling and demonstrated amazing work. The awards jury was comprised of three active leaders in community arts in Canada from Montr\u00e9al, Halifax and Toronto who are not Members of ArtBridges. The recipients will each receive a certificate and an award of $250.<\/p>\n

Le processus de s\u00e9lection\u00a0:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00c0 la fin de 2015, nous avons invit\u00e9 les membres cotisants d\u2019ArtBridges\/ToileDesArts \u00e0 soumettre leur candidature pour les prix honorifiques. Tous les dossiers qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e9taient int\u00e9ressants et t\u00e9moignaient d\u2019un excellent travail. Le jury \u00e9tait compos\u00e9 de trois personnes tr\u00e8s dynamiques dans le milieu de l\u2019art communautaire au Canada; elles venaient de Montr\u00e9al, d\u2019Halifax et de Toronto et n\u2019\u00e9taient pas membres d\u2019ArtBridges\/ToileDesArts. \u00ab\u00a0The 4Cs Foundation<\/a> provides grants, education and other opportunities for community arts projects that inspire, empower, and connect children and their communities in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Mandel Surprise-Me Award for Innovation is sponsored by the Ruth Mandel \u2013 WHO GIVES Fund.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00ab La 4Cs Foundation<\/a> offre des bourses, des cours et d\u2019autres ressources \u00e0 l\u2019intention des projets d\u2019art communautaires qui insufflent de l\u2019inspiration aux enfants d\u2019Halifax, en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, favorisent leur autonomisation et nourrissent leurs liens avec leur milieu. \u00ab MU<\/a> est un organisme de bienfaisance qui transforme l\u2019espace public montr\u00e9alais en r\u00e9alisant des murales ancr\u00e9es dans les communaut\u00e9s. Depuis 2007, MU a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plus de 80 murales d\u2019envergure et p\u00e9rennes dans 15 quartiers de la ville en plus de mettre en \u0153uvre un important volet \u00e9ducatif. \u00bb (site web<\/a>)<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0MU<\/a> is a charitable organization transforming Montr\u00e9al public spaces through the creation of murals anchored in communities. For over two decades ArtHeart<\/a> has been a stabilizing presence in the community of Regent Park. We provide free visual arts education, programs, materials and a nutritious meal to children, youth, adults and seniors living in Regent Park and the surrounding neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to provide participants with a supportive environment in which they can create and learn, build self-esteem and develop life skills. By putting their hands and imaginations to work, our participants are empowered to improve their quality of life. (website<\/a>)<\/p>\n
