\u00ab\u00a0The\u00a0Art Bikers Program<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0a mobile community arts program of the 4Cs\u00a0Foundation<\/a> that builds community by making art with children, families and residents in neighbourhoods throughout Halifax, NS.\u00a0Open to all community members and delivered in participant’s neighbourhoods, Art Bikers fosters creativity between and connections with one another.<\/p>\n Our team of community artists ride bicycles pulling colourful trailers full of art materials to neighbourhoods throughout Halifax. Upon arriving, they set-up and facilitate collaborative art activities that open up a world of creativity, fun and community connection.<\/p>\n Started in 2007, the Art Bikers have worked with over 5000 individuals in a wide range of social communities across ages, abilities, languages, race, and ethnicities.\u00a0We have also trained and employed more than 20 community artists over the years.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Art Bikers<\/strong>\u00a0program has three goals:<\/p>\n 1. \n2. To make Art an event that happens at a street, neighbourhood and community level.
\n3. To stimulate interest and participation in Community Arts and Arts-based Community Development\u00a0 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.<\/p>\n
\nRiding bicycles and pulling trailers packed with art materials and supplies to locations, the Art Bikers work as a team facilitating free community art activities with children, youth and others at a neighbourhood level throughout HRM.
\nNow in its 12th year, the Art Bikers is a mobile community arts program of the\u00a04Cs Foundation<\/strong>. This (2018) is the second season where the program is being offered through an agreement with\u00a0Wonder\u2019neath Art Society<\/strong>. \nFull-time term position starting May 15 \u2013 ending August 25, 2018. 35 hours\/week @ $16.00\/h + $100 bike fee at completion of full term. DEADLINE for applications is March 31, 2018.<\/p>\n
