\"\"StArt Youth Presenting Art [StArt YPA]<\/a> is a SuiteLife Arts for Youth initiative, run by Scarborough youth and sponsored by TD Bank and Theatre Scarborough. We strive to give young emerging artists in Scarborough alternative outlets to express themselves in the arts and provide them with a platform where their works are accessible to their communities.<\/p>\n

StArt YPA is now accepting art submissions for our 8th annual StArt Youth Presenting Art Festival, being held from August 13th to 18th, 2018. All youth between 13 and 25 years old are welcome to submit their works by July 14th, 2018<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, to info@startypa.org. Include subject line \u201cArt submissions\u201d and e-mail us links\/docs of your work and a statement about you (including name, age, e-mail and phone number) and tell us about who\/what inspires you as an artist.<\/p>\n

Learning opportunity<\/strong>: During our festival week,\u00a0from\u00a0Monday, Aug. 13 to Thursday, Aug. 16<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/strong>2018\u00a0we will be running\u00a0free workshops for youth.<\/strong>\u00a0Our artistic workshops include\u00a0Hip-Hop, Bollywood\u00a0Dance, Vocals, Photography, Theatre (Acting), Fine Arts, Spoken Word, Theatre Production, Business for the Arts and our very first DIY: Silk Screening workshop<\/strong>. We’re still welcoming submissions from\u00a0Emerging Artists (25-40 years old)<\/strong>\u00a0to perform and be featured in our\u00a0Breaking Bread Reception –\u00a0Aug. 17th, 2018<\/span><\/span>, from<\/strong>\u00a07:00pm to 9:30pm.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
