{"id":23742,"date":"2019-05-17T06:40:44","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T10:40:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artbridgesblog.ca\/en\/?p=23742"},"modified":"2019-05-17T06:40:44","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T10:40:44","slug":"pebble-mosaic-red-dress-productions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artbridges.ca\/fr\/pebble-mosaic-red-dress-productions\/","title":{"rendered":"Five monument unveilings will honour sexual assault survivors across Ontario (Red Dress Productions)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/artbridgesblog.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/rdp-pebble.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23743\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/reddressproductions.org\/current-projects\/countdown-project\/\">Countdown Public Art Legacy Project<\/a>&nbsp;is a series of pebble mosaic workshops to create monuments that honour survivors of sexual violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pebble mosaic monuments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From February to March 2019, Red Dress Productions,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ameliarising.ca\/\">Amelia Rising Sexual Assault Centre<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lcih.org\/\">Lanark County Interval House<\/a>, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sacbrant.ca\/\">Sexual Assault Centre of Brant<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kawarthasexualassaultcentre.com\/\">Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nogofc.ca\/\">Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre<\/a>&nbsp;collaborated with 300 residents in&nbsp;<strong>North Bay<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Carleton Place<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Brantford<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Peterborough<\/strong>, Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each community created a unique, six-foot diameter, pebble mosaic monument in tribute to sexual assault survivors. These four new monuments will be permanently installed and unveiled from May to July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Benches for Eganville monument<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May, two benches for the Eganville Countdown monument will be unveiled.
