Forum Theatre Performance and Creation Workshop (2 Days, July 19th<\/sup>\u00a0& 20th<\/sup> 2019, 10AM-5PM) <\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Forum Theatre?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This intensive all-levels workshop led by award-winning artist Simon Malbogat is a hands-on introduction to Forum Theatre, a style of theatre rooted in anti-oppression principles. This workshop explores how theatre facilitates community engagement, addresses social justice issues, sparks community dialogue and bring about grassroots advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artists<\/strong> will explore how forum theatre techniques of community participation, intervention and improvisation can help build tool kits for character development, devised creation and audience engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Organizers, Social Workers &<\/strong> Educators<\/strong> will learn they can use Forum Theatre in their everyday practice to initiate vital conversations, engage in critical inquiry, and create social change in their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
