Nous avons accumul\u00e9 28 contacts jusqu\u2019\u00e0 date en notre recherche pour les arts communautaires francophone au Manitoba. Des 28 contacts, 9 d\u2019entre eux ont \u00e9t\u00e9s confirm\u00e9s comme \u00e9tant des projets, programmes, ressources ou organismes travaillant dans les arts communautaires francophones; 15 d\u2019entre eux n\u00e9cessitent plus d\u2019information, et 4 sont d\u2019autres sources et contacts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ce que j\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 bien int\u00e9ressant \u00e9tait le fait que la plupart des arts communautaires francophones sont situ\u00e9s en la m\u00eame ville – 7 des 9 projets, programmes, ressources et organismes (les 2 autres sont \u00e0 Winnipeg) et plus que la moiti\u00e9 de nos contacts (19) sont situ\u00e9s \u00e0 St-Boniface.<\/span><\/p>\n

Je suis tr\u00e8s impressionn\u00e9 avec les projets, programmes, ressources et organismes suivants:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) WAACA (Winnipeg Afro-Aboriginal Cross-Cultural Association)<\/a> \u00e9tait le seul organisme que nous avons trouv\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 date qui rassemble les communaut\u00e9s africaines et indig\u00e8nes ensemble. L\u2019organisme bilingue offre des ateliers en drum et encourage la narration des contes entre les a\u00een\u00e9s de les deux communaut\u00e9s. Leur mod\u00e8le afro-indig\u00e8ne accumule tant d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat que le fondeur a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 comme consultant \u00e0 Vancouver afin d\u2019y enseigner le mod\u00e8le.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) La Maison des artistes visuels francophones<\/a> a \u00e9t\u00e9 cit\u00e9 plusieurs fois pour son travail approfondi en arts communautaires francophones, tels les ateliers, la gallerie d\u2019art, et les cours d\u2019entra\u00eenement.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) L\u2019Alliance fran\u00e7aise<\/a> tient plusieurs festivals et \u00e9v\u00e8nements culturels, tel le festival AFRIK, qui sont gratuits ou tr\u00e8s accessibles.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Le Cercle Moli\u00e8re<\/a> a r\u00e9cemment c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 l\u2019ouverture d\u2019un nouveau th\u00e9\u00e2tre (24 juin 2010) et offre des bourses et l\u2019entr\u00e9e gratuite pour ses spectacles.<\/span><\/p>\n

5) Le centre bilingue Metis Culture & Heritage Resource Centre Inc.<\/a> offre des programmes d\u2019\u00e9ducation et culture pour et \u00e0 propos des Metis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Je crois qu\u2019il y a encore du travail \u00e0 faire dans nos recherches pour les arts communautaires francophones au Manitoba, particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de St-Boniface, et nous avons h\u00e2te \u00e0 explorer d\u2019avantage et faire d\u2019autres connections et amis.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have gathered 28 contacts so far for the Manitoba research on Francophone Community Arts. Of the twenty-eight, 9 have been confirmed as projects, programs, resources or organizations working in francophone community arts, 15 need to be followed-up with to get more information and 4 were other sources and contacts.<\/span><\/p>\n

What I found interesting was that most francophone community arts are located in St-Boniface (7 out of the 9 were in St-Boniface and 2 in Winnipeg) and more than half of our contacts (19) were in St-Boniface.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was very impressed with the following organizations\/projects\/programs\/resources:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) WAACA (Winnipeg Afro-Aboriginal Cross-Cultural Association)<\/a> was the only organization found so far to bring together African and Aboriginal populations. This bilingual organization offers drumming workshops and storytelling from elders of both communities; also their Afro-Aboriginal model is gaining so much popularity that the founder has been invited as a consultant in Vancouver to help bring the model there.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) Maison des Artistes Visuels Francophones<\/a> was quoted very often from people because of its extensive work in francophone arts\/community arts i.e. workshops, art gallery and training sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) Alliance Francaise<\/a> offers exciting cultural events and festivals like Festival AFRIK which are free or very accessible.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Le Cercle Moli\u00e8re<\/a> recently celebrated the opening of their new theatre on June 24, they offer scholarships and free admissions to their theatre performances.<\/span><\/p>\n

5) We found the Metis Culture & Heritage Resource Centre Inc.<\/a> which offers culture and education for and about Metis.<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe there is more work to be done in researching and learning about francophone community arts outside of St-Boniface and we look forward to venturing out and making more connections and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
