Aujourd\u2019hui, le fran\u00e7ais compte pour \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s 1,9% (census 2006) de la langue maternelle des albertains. Cependant, l\u2019Alberta compte plusieurs organismes en arts communautaires. D\u2019une liste de 42 sources, nous avons identifi\u00e9 huit projets, ressources, organismes et programmes en arts communautaires francophones \u00e0 travers la province.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\">Naissant de la ville au surnom de \u201cla ville des festivals\u201d, Edmonton est la base du festival <strong>Edmonton Chante<\/strong>, qui comprend uniquement des artistes francophones et qui est gratuit au public. En tant que th\u00e9\u00e2tre, il y a l\u2019<strong>UniTh\u00e9\u00e2tre<\/strong>, qui offre des services pour les professionels ainsi qu\u2019un groupe de th\u00e9\u00e2tre communautaire. Pour les musiciens, le <strong>Centre de d\u00e9veloppement musical<\/strong>, qui pr\u00e9sente de nombreux programmes de formation en musique pour la jeunesse, y compris les camps d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, les concours, les ateliers scolaires, et bien d\u2019autres. Pour les artistes multidisciplinaires, il y a deux excellents groupes qui offrent la promotion et le r\u00e9seautage artistique, tel le<strong>Regroupement artistique francophone de l\u2019Alberta (RAFA)<\/strong>\u00a0et la\u00a0<strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 francophone des artistes visuels de l\u2019Alberta (SAVA)<\/strong>, ce dernier comprenant des projets de courtepointe historique, des concerts de jazz, des projets d\u2019\u00e9ducation, et une galerie d\u2019art ainsi qu\u2019un centre pour artistes! Il y a aussi une excellente programmation pour a\u00een\u00e9s avec la <strong>F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des a\u00eenes franco-albertains<\/strong>, avec une troupe de th\u00e9\u00e2tre, une chorale, et un club culturel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\">\u00c0 Lethbridge, nous avons parl\u00e9 \u00e0 la <strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Cin\u00e9MAGINE<\/strong>, un organisme \u00e0 but non-lucratif qui fait la promotion et le d\u00e9veloppement du cin\u00e9ma francophone \u00e0 travers un festival annuel, des ateliers scolaires, et des clubs cin\u00e9matographiques. \u00c0 Calgary, <strong>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u00e0 Pic<\/strong> offre des ateliers en th\u00e9\u00e2tre pour jeunes, ainsi qu\u2019un club d\u2019impro pour adultes et une troupe th\u00e9\u00e2trale communautaire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\">Pour ce temps, nous quittons la prairie et traversons les montagnes, mais nous aimerions trouver des projets, resources, organismes et programmes franco-albertains d\u2019avantage en les autres villes et communaut\u00e9s en la province d\u2019Alberta. Today, there are about 1.9% (2006 Census) of Albertans that consider French to be their mother tongue. Alberta is home to several Francophone community arts organizations. From a list of 42 sources, we\u2019ve identified eight projects, resources, organizations, and programs in francophone community arts throughout the province.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000080;\">Holding the nickname \u201cthe City of Festivals\u201d, Edmonton is home to <strong>Edmonton Chante<\/strong>, a festival of solely Francophone artists that is free to the public. In terms of theatre, we contacted <strong>UniTh\u00e9\u00e2tre<\/strong>, an organization that offers services for professionals as well as a community theatre group. For the musicians out there, the <strong>Centre de d\u00e9veloppement musical<\/strong> has numerous training opportunities for youth, including summer camps, battle of the bands, in-school workshops, and more. For the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color:#000080;\">multidisciplinary<\/span><span style=\"color:#000080;\"> artists, there are two excellent resources, the\u00a0<strong>Regroupement artistique francophone de l\u2019Alberta (RAFA)<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 francophone des artistes visuels de l\u2019Alberta (SAVA)<\/strong>, the latter of which has community history-based quilting projects, jazz concerts, education projects, and an art gallery as well an artist centre. There is also great arts programming for seniors with the <strong>F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des a\u00eenes franco-albertains<\/strong>, which offers community theatre, a choir, and a cultural club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000080;\">In Lethbridge, we spoke to the <strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Cin\u00e9MAGINE<\/strong>, a not-for-profit organization that promotes and develops Francophone cinema through an annual festival, in-school workshops, and cinema clubs. In Calgary, <strong>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u00e0 Pic<\/strong> offers theatre workshops for youth, as well as an improv club for adults and a community theatre group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000080;\">For now, we are leaving the prairies and crossing over the mountains, but we\u2019d like to hear more about Francophone community arts projects, resources, organizations, and programs in other cities and communities across Alberta.
