Sensibles et empreintes d\u2019humanit\u00e9, les \u0153uvres audiovisuelles pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans AGIR \/ ART DES FEMMES EN PRISON sont n\u00e9es d\u2019une collaboration entre 49 femmes incarc\u00e9r\u00e9es et 8 artistes professionnels, invit\u00e9s en \u00e9tablissements de d\u00e9tention. \u00c0 travers leur \u00e9change de connaissances et de v\u00e9cus ont pris forme 35 oeuvres qui explorent le lien entre l\u2019incarc\u00e9ration et la pauvret\u00e9 dans ses diff\u00e9rentes formes, \u00e9conomique, sociale, familiale, culturelle ou affective. Cette exposition, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Elizabeth Fry du Qu\u00e9bec et Engrenage Noir \/ LEVIER, l\u00e8ve le voile sur les luttes individuelles de femmes en conflit avec la loi et nous permet de les d\u00e9couvrir au-del\u00e0 d\u2019un d\u00e9lit, d\u2019une sentence ou des st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes, dans un contexte artistique.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019organisation de trois tables rondes offrira au public l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de rencontrer les artistes qui exposent, ainsi que des experts en criminologie et en justice sociale :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sensitive and full of humanity, the audiovisual artworks presented at AGIR \/ ART OF WOMEN IN PRISON are the result of a collaboration process between 49 incarcerated women and eight professional artists who were invited into the carceral facilities. Thirty-five artworks that explore the link between incarceration and poverty \u2013 economic, social, familial, cultural or emotional \u2013 emerged from their exchange of knowledge and experience. Presented by the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Elizabeth Fry du Qu\u00e9bec and Engrenage Noir \/ LEVIER, this exhibition reveals the individual struggles of women in conflict with the law and acknowledges them in an artistic context \u2013 beyond a crime, a prison sentence or a set of stereotypes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three roundtable presentations will provide the opportunity for the public to meet with some of the exhibiting artists and specialists in the field of criminology and social justice:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
