Creative position available:<\/strong> Community and Outreach Programmer Application deadline:<\/strong> February 1, 2012<\/p>\n \u00ab\u00a0The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts<\/a> is a multi disciplinary arts education and development centre based on 178 acres of farm and forest in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Our facilities and programs are designed to serve the artistic and cultural communities of Nova Scotia, of Canada, and of the world, with a focus on professional artist development, youth education and Aboriginal arts programming.<\/p>\n We are currently seeking a dynamic and engaged person to lead community and outreach programming. The ideal candidate will be an artist\/educator with a strong curriculum development and visual arts background.<\/p>\n The successful applicant will have a passion for working and living in rural Nova Scotia and for engaging the wider community through the arts. The position includes school programs which coordinate with our gallery exhibits, meaningful and accessible arts programming at regional festivals, community arts days at the centre, special projects etc. It is a collaborative work environment, with a strong community base in a wonderful and vibrant rural community. The position includes a three month trial period and then a two year commitment is preferred. We can provide accommodation for a few beginning weeks of the position onsite.<\/p>\n The Ross Creek Centre is an equal opportunity employer.
