\u00ab\u00a0The 8th annual Alianait Arts Festival takes place June 29 to July 2 and the line-up of performers will deliver a mix of world-class music and a long weekend filled with fun, families & friends and creativity.<\/p>\n

The program includes the following 4 Main Stage shows:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

June 29, 7pm<\/strong><\/span> – Opening Concert<\/span> featuring Nunavik singer-songwriter Saali<\/em><\/span>, popular local band The Jerry Cans<\/em><\/span>, soulful and bluesy singer \/ pianist Ann Vriend<\/span><\/em>, and Esther Powell & the Roughcuts<\/em><\/span> from Rankin Inlet.<\/p>\n

June 30, 2pm & 7pm<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Circus Show Timber<\/span> featuring Artcirq<\/span><\/em> and Cirque Alfonse.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

July 1, 7pm<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Celebrate Canada Concert<\/span> presenting calypso favourites KoboTown<\/span><\/em>, emerging Nunavut artists Kikkukia<\/span><\/em> and Agaatoq<\/em><\/span>, Toronto Indie band The DoneFors<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

July 2, 7pm<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Closing Concert<\/span> will feature Greenland folk-rock sensation Simon Lynge<\/em><\/span>, Brazilian jazz chanteuse Fernanda Cunha<\/span><\/em>, soul, funk, hip hop ensemble Buzy B & the Honeycombs<\/em><\/span> and local favourites The J J’s<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
