“This role will specifically work with Indigenous youth on cultural, societal, gender, mental health, BIPOC, economic, and inclusion topics as a primary focus. The main responsibility will be to support local youth who wish to explore art as a way to express, heal, connect, and be inspired to tackle these topics. It is a requirement that the candidate is familiar with and permitted to practice Indigenous art, as well as be familiar with the surrounding area’s Indigenous and First Nations communities, however, all programs will be run within the Calgary city limits. Formal art training is not required, but the candidate must show a history of art experience. We value the ability to reach youth, over the ability to produce award-winning art outcomes.
Indigenous women and men (cis and trans), Two-Spirit and non-binary Indigenous people are strongly encouraged to apply
