“maladjusted” Booking Opportunities
Our highly acclaimed main stage production, “maladjusted,” created and performed by mental health patients and caregivers, is set to be remounted and toured in 2015. The play asks audiences to explore ways that individuals, families and agencies can ‘humanize’ a mental health system that, over time, has become mechanized. Patients, family members and caregivers have shared about how we are struggling to adjust to a maladjusted mental health system.
We are currently in conversations (though not all confirmed) with the following communities: Nanaimo, Victoria, Duncan, Courtenay, Port Alberni, Kitimaat Village, Terrace, Burns Lake, Hazelton, Smithers, Vanderhoof, Prince George, Quesnel, Northern Alberta (three unconfirmed communities), Edmonton, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Calgary, Lethbridge, Creston, Penticton, Princeton, Kelowna, Kamloops, Agassiz, Chilliwack, Vancouver. More communities to come.
We are still in the process of booking tour dates. If your community is listed above and you would like to get involved, or if your community is not listed and you would like the tour to come to you, please email David Ng atoutreach@theatreforliving.com or call 604.871.0508.”
