“The Mining Legacies exhibition incorporates a variety of artistic styles and approaches to explore the impact of mining on our community. The exhibition was developed from a workshop led by Ontario based artists Gary Blundell and Victoria Ward, which took place at the Glace Bay Miners Museum in 2014. The multi-generational exhibition reflects on the history of mining and looks at the legacies of the industry in the Cape Breton today. Many of the artworks evolved out of personal experiences with friends and family who were involved in the mining industry.
