Responsibilities:
Work alongside ArtBridges/ToileDesArts Project Director to:
- Communicate with community arts projects, programs, resources and organizations that are based in or focused on indigenous communities across Canada in order to:
- Highlight what’s going on and what’s being offered in community-engaged arts in: education, studios, projects, organizations, events, outreach projects and in resources
- Connect people working, volunteering and participating in community arts/arts for social change/arts for social engagement across the country
- Prepare wordpress blog posts, facebook, twitter or other social network applications.
Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge in community arts/arts for social change/arts and community engagement in Indigenous communities within Canada.
- Thorough working knowledge and practice of wordpress.com (blog), facebook, google, gmail and twitter. (Must be able to demonstrate ability).
- Current post-secondary student, or graduate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
ArtBridges is currently seeking to hire a new part-time contract position: 12 hours weekly (2 days/wk during February and March, start date: Feb. 1st.) Possibility for contract to be extended. Downtown Toronto location. ArtBridges encourages applications from Indigenous peoples for this position.
