As ArtBridges’ Community-Engaged Arts Directory grows, we realize that it’s a bit overwhelming to read through all of the profiles. We’re hoping that by occasionally highlighting some profiles on our blog, you may learn about an initiative that you may not have initially seen in the directory. Also, if you know of a Canadian community-engaged arts for social change initiative that isn’t in our directory, but should be, please let us know! We love and need your input/feedback in building this resource! -Lisa, Content Coordinator at ArtBridges.

“The Open Field Collective brings contemporary art right to the streets by exhibiting artists’ works in residential front-yard gardens. The exhibitions are curated or selected from our ongoing open submission calls, and change every six weeks. These galleries are free to the public and are accessible by anyone walking down the street, 365 days a year.”

What a great idea! How could I host one of these art boxes in front of my home?
Indeed, it is! And to host, I’d suggest getting in touch with Open Field Collective to see what opportunities they have available at the moment. Their contact information is on this page: https://openfieldcollective.wordpress.com/contact/
