“HAPPENING Multicultural LIVE is our response to the realities of these unprecedented times. We recognize the importance of physical distancing in order to overcame the risks of COVID 19. We also know that it is crucial for us as a community to stay connected and work together. We believe that artists and the Arts are essential not only in supporting communities to cope with this experience, but also creating space for all of us to re-imagen the world after the pandemic.

We decided to move to online platforms so we can continue promoting and celebrating newcomer , immigrant and refugee talent.

During HAPPENING Multicultural LIVE, we give the spotlight to immigrant, newcomer and refugee artists while creating opportunities for professional development focused on artists interested in working with communities as well as creating opportunities for organizations to share their work and their visions of more inclusive communities.
We promote inclusion and celebrate the contribution of newcomer and refugee communities to the cultural and artistic fabric of Toronto.
