“Arts and Health Project: Healthy Aging through the Arts Project Showcase – Sat. June 7

Exhibition runs to June 13 at the Roundhouse Exhibition Hall

The Arts and Health Project: Healthy Aging through the Arts offers seniors arts programming with a professional artist, an intern artist, and a seniors’ worker. The Showcase is an important annual event during Seniors Week that provides seniors from across the city and North Vancouver the opportunity to come together to show their collaborative artwork and celebrate their accomplishments together.

The Arts and Health Project is administered by the Park Board’s Office of Arts, Culture and Environment and is funded by the Park Board, Vancouver Coastal Health and the Vancouver Foundation. It is a research based arts program with proven positive health outcomes for participating seniors,  an innovative initiative in Canada that highlights new ways to think about, honour and serve our aging population.
