Mosaic Mural Fundraising Campaign (East End Arts, Toronto)

East End Arts needs your support to complete a community mosaic mural at Danforth and Coxwell this summer. We need to raise $8,500 to meet our $50,000 goal. Every dollar donated will go to paying artists, mural materials, and related project costs. Please Donate Now!

This August, talented ceramics artist Cristina Delago will lead a group of emerging artists in creating a mosaic mural that will beautify the concrete wall facing the Green P lot at 1208 Danforth Avenue. The mural is one of several improvements happening in 2016-17 that respond to the needs identifed in 2014 when the Danforth East Community Association asked the community to Reimagine the Laneway. Join us (the TTC, Toronto Parking Authority, City Councillor Janet Davis & East End Arts) onsite to see full details of proposed improvements on August 3rd.

The mosaic mural will cost $50,000 to produce. Thanks to generous donations from StreetARToronto and Toronto Parking Authority, we have raised 85% of our goal. We still need to raise $8,500 by August 31, 2016 in order to complete this important contribution to the community for September 2016. East End Arts is a registered charity.

We will also be accepting material donations onsite as of August 3, and inviting members of the community to come help with mural assembly on a volunteer basis.”
