“The RBC Newcomer Arts Award is designed to support the future potential of newcomer artists across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) working in a range of disciplines. These $2000 awards are intended to support each recipient’s artistic practice.

About: The RBC Newcomer Arts Award is a micro-award program for newcomer (immigrant and refugee) artists presented by RBC Foundation and Toronto Arts Foundation and administered by Neighbourhood Arts Network.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be:
- An artist who has lived in Canada for 7 years or less
- A Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Approved Refugee Claimant (i.e. Protected Person) or have applications for permanent residency or citizenship pending
- Over 18 years old
- A resident of the City of Toronto OR Halton, Peel, York, Durham municipalities
- A member of Neighbourhood Arts Network. If you are not a member, sign up here
*Artists can receive only one RBC Arts Access Award per year.”
