RBC Newcomer Arts Award (Neighbourhood Arts Network)

“The RBC Newcomer Arts Award is designed to support the future potential of newcomer artists across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) working in a range of disciplines. These $2000 awards are intended to support each recipient’s artistic practice.

RBC ROUND 1    | Nominations now open | Closes June 4, 2020
RBC 2 ROUND 2 | Opens Aug 31, 2020 | Closes Sept 30, 2020

About: The RBC Newcomer Arts Award is a micro-award program for newcomer (immigrant and refugee) artists presented by RBC Foundation and Toronto Arts Foundation and administered by Neighbourhood Arts Network. 

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be:

  • An artist who has lived in Canada for 7 years or less
  • A Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Approved Refugee Claimant (i.e. Protected Person) or have applications for permanent residency or citizenship pending
  • Over 18 years old
  • A resident of the City of Toronto OR Halton, Peel, York, Durham municipalities
  • A member of Neighbourhood Arts Network. If you are not a member, sign up here

*Artists can receive only one RBC Arts Access Award per year.”
