Workshop – Rootedness: Sustainability for Black and Racialized Men

Workshop – Rootedness: Sustainability for Black and Racialized Men

The Rootedness Project is a collaboration (under the trusteeship of SKETCH) between the Good Guise Collective and the Black Men’s Therapy Fund. We have planned a series of weekly workshops for a cohort of 8-10 Black and racialized masculine-identified folk where we gather to explore what it means to sustain oneself across multiple dimensions (personally, in relationships, in community, and in a hostile world). Workshops will culminate in a group-designed zine that will be hosted and distributed online by our trustee, SKETCH. and some gardening as self-reflexive practices. Our workshops are designed as open forums within which we are guided to encounter ourselves and our behaviours bravely and to have honest conversations about our mental health, needs, and our capacity to act with love toward each other.”
