One of SKETCH’s collaborative projects, CATSCAN, has an exhibition this month! Place Unheard, a visual art exhibition happening August 9 from 7-10  at Gallery 1313 (queen west) . This show features the work of SKETCH artists: Erick Agsoven, Melanie Barron and Rebecca Suave as well as artists: Dave bone, Nancy Clemo, Byron Lo, Rosa Mindreau, Ashton Shearer and Zanette Singh. This show will feature: photography, encaustic, sculpture, etching, painting, and more. So come by and check it out!

Don’t forget, SKETCH is  recruiting youth aged 15-21 for a very exciting program called Connect 2 Youth in which youth train youth work students using theatre techniques. Successful applicants will be taught basic theatre and improvisation techniques, group processes, and adult education practices. Upon completion, the youth trainers will do workshops for staff and students at agencies in the educational, social service & public sector. Through enacting scenarios based upon their direct experiences and the experiences of those who work with youth, C2Y trainers serve as valuable teachers to youth workers, therapists, and others. Successful applicants will be paid $12.00/hr for their participation (50-57 hours of training). They will also be provided with TTC tickets and snacks.”
