“This workshop will explore the multitude of catalyst ideas and impulses an artist can bring to a community to spark and guide a creative project – a question, a myth, a song, a passage from the newspaper, a play, a metaphor, an object – and how to shape, play with, safeguard, open up and develop it while navigating a participatory and co-creative process.
Ruth will be working with ACI Manitoba to deliver this advanced workshop in Winnipeg.

The Art of Community in Sault Ste Marie
Next up, Ruth will collaborate with Thinking Rock Community Arts from March 27-30, giving a public presentation leading a three-day intensive workshop on the principles and practices of art that engages with and creates community, blending presentations, discussions, hands-on activities, creative explorations and take-home resources.
