“The 9th Annual Kamataukatshiut Festival will take place in the two Innu communities, Natuashish and Sheshatshiu, Labrador during the week of March 17-21, 2014. The Festival inspires youth to get creative and active and have fun doing it.

Cree performers from Alberta, Dallas Arcand and Beany (Crystal) John, will be joined by members of Wonderbolt Circus as they teach native dance, hip hop dancing, juggling, stilt walking, learning to ride unicycles, spin plates and perform circus antics. This festival is in large part due to the ongoing initiative of the Mamu Tshishkutamashutau Innu Education and the sponsors of the Festival that include the Innu Schools, Canadian Heritage, Government of NL, the NLAC, NALCOR and various local businesses.
