“Together with the Toronto Animation Image Society we are launching The Animation Project, a free 11-week online and in-person animation course for seniors.

The Animation Project will use a creative hybrid course model to provide seniors with an opportunity to learn about and explore issues and storytelling that reflect their life experiences. This will be done through animated stop motion storytelling, interweaving creative expression with the development of digital literacy. The program will culminate with one public event where participants will share their work with family, friends and their community.

In addition to the 11-week course, The Animation Project will also host two 101 Animation workshops open to adults +55 and two Community Engaged Animation activities during Cultura Festival that are open to the wider public.

Location: This program is a hybrid program with online and in person events and sessions.
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 16th to Thursday, October 27th, 2022
