With the start of the new year, ArtBridges would like to highlight Focus On Nature, which has recently launched a new website. The website includes a developing toolkit of activities. From their toolkit page:

“Focus on Nature is all about nurturing a love and appreciation of nature through photography. We know, as anyone who has learned photography knows, that a camera can help you to see the world with “new eyes”, encouraging you to slow down and pay attention to things that you might normally walk by.

As one of our goals, we want to make it easy for teachers, parents, and community and outdoor education centre staff to use photography as a tool for learning and for inspiring young people to get outside. This “Toolkit” is a page for sharing some of the activities we’ve used successfully in classrooms and at outdoor education centres.
