ABOUT ARTS IN THE PARKS
Arts in the Parks is a city-wide initiative that brings free, family-friendly arts programming to parks in neighbourhoods across Toronto. Arts in the Parks will encourage community building, enjoyment of local parks, and activities for residents and tourists of all ages. Events will include performances, dance, music, theatre, film, community-engaged work and more!

WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU TO BE PART OF OUR VOLUNTEER TEAM!
Opportunities are open for ages 14+

Spend your summer in the great outdoors as we connect this creative city, block by block.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Events are running throughout the months of June, July, August and September. Additional details regarding schedules will be provided at the training sessions and online at MyVolunteerPage.com. Training sessions will be announced in early April. Volunteer shifts will be announced early May.

NEW THIS YEAR!
We’ve made changes to our volunteer program, based on feedback from the community and our amazing 2016 volunteer team. Changes include integration of a youth component, more specified roles for volunteers, one HUGE celebration event at the end of the summer, and more networking opportunities.

We’re also proud to accounce that we are the newest member of VAACT: Volunteer Award for Arts and Culture Toronto. VAACT is a program that strives to recognize volunteers who contribute their time to multiple arts and culture organizations throughout the year in the city of Toronto. The program ends each year with an awards ceremony for VAACT participants, scheduled on International Volunteer Day.

In order to be eligible to attend the VAACT awards ceremony, volunteers must complete the minimum volunteer requirements with at least three of the cultural organizations listed below:

Luminato Festival
Hot Docs International Documentary Festival
Doors Open Toronto (City of Toronto)
Toronto International Film Festival
Pride Toronto
The Toronto Fringe Festival
Canada Day (City of Toronto)
Nuit Blanche Toronto (City of Toronto)
ImagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival
Cavalcade of Lights Toronto (City of Toronto)
