BurstingBubble_DRAFT
“Bursting the Bubble: Comic Arts Workshop is a youth-led anti-stigma art workshop supported by Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca and the White Water Gallery, designed to illustrate community members’ interpretations of and experiences with mental health and mental illness.

This workshop is being held in celebration of Child and Youth’s Mental Health Week, that runs from May 1st to May 7th, 2016. This is an annual provincial initiative during the first week of May that promotes awareness of mental health issues and available community supports.

This workshop is to allow community members to create thier own art pieces focusing on the theme of mental health/mental illness in the presence of a comic art facilitator, who we are now happy to announce is Jaymie Lathem!

Bursting the Bubble is also hosting a Zine Workshop beginning at 3 pm. We would love to see you attend this as well and contribute your mental health-themed art into the zine to be publicly distributed. Each artist will get their own copy of the finished Zine!
