“As the Art Bikers Coordinator you conscientiously work within the mandate of the 4Cs Foundation ensuring the successful delivery of the Art Bikers program while also representing the 4Cs Foundation to the general public. You inspire and lead a group of young adults (the Art Bikers team) in delivering arts-based activities with the general public in various neighbourhood and community locations throughout HRM. The position is a split of administration and active program delivery, and requires exceptional organizational and leadership skills, as well as a high level of creative arts skills and know-how.

This is a seasonal contract position. It is ideal for someone who is looking to work intensely for a period of time, and then take time off for other pursuits. A background in community development with strong Visual Arts or Arts and Crafts skills and experience managing staff are required. Superior urban bicycle riding skills and physical fitness are absolutely required.

The job requires that you work a flexible and changeable schedule and is best suited to someone who is comfortable working outside of the 9 to 5 routine. It would be challenging for someone with after-school and weekend obligations. The work takes place both in the office and outdoors in the community and public spaces. Comfort working in inclement weather and experience with public engagement are essential.

Anticipated contract dates March 31, 2014 to September 12, 2014
Remuneration: $20.00 to $26.00/hourly based on experience, for up to 40 hours weekly.
